1、Light source type and light-emitting principle

LED beam light: uses semiconductor light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to emit light directly, without the need for heating, and has an energy conversion efficiency of 80%-90%.

Bulb beam light: relies on high-temperature filaments (such as halogen lamps) or gas discharges (such as metal halide lamps) to emit light,
with about 70%-90% of electrical energy converted into heat energy and only 10%-30% converted into light energy.

Color temperature and light characteristics
Bulb: color temperature 2700K-4000K, warm yellow light has strong ability to penetrate rain and fog, but the field of vision is darker on sunny nights.
LED : color temperature 4300K-6000K, light is close to natural white light, and the illumination range is wide and uniform.
4、Lifespan and maintenance costs
LED light: lifespan is about 5,000-100,000 hours,25-50 times than bulb, almost maintenance-free.
Bulb light: lifespan is about 2,000-5,000 hours,frequent bulb replacement required, and maintenance costs are high.
5、Environmental protection
LED light: does not contain mercury, lead and other harmful substances, and does not cause pollution after disposal.
Bulb light: fluorescent lamps contain mercury vapor, incandescent lamps contain tungsten filaments, improper handling may pollute the environment.
6、Response speed
LED light: turns on and lights up immediately, supports high-frequency flash effects (such as above 50Hz), and has no delay.
Bulb light: gas discharge lamps need to be preheated (about 3-5 minutes) to reach maximum brightness, and have a slow response speed.
7、Comparison of applicable scenarios
LED light: Small and medium-sized stages, commercial performances, occasions that require frequent switching or color changes.
Bulb light: Long-distance strong light projection, traditional theater, extreme climate outdoor environment.
Summarize
LED beam lights are gradually replacing traditional bulb beam lights due to their advantages such as high efficiency and energy saving, long life and adjustable colors.
However, bulb beam lights are still irreplaceable in terms of long-distance strong light requirements and adaptability to extreme environments.
